Marian shrine „Dragotin“ – Trnava parish

It is the oldest Our Lady's church in eastern Croatia and it is around 700 years old. It was first mentioned in 1332 as the centre of Dragotin parish.  The most valuable historical sight in the church of Dragotin is the painting of Our Lady of Sorrows.

In recent times a nice statue of Our Lady of Sorrows with a crown on her head and child Jesus in her arms was put inside the church. The statue is at the main altar and attracts special attention of all pilgrims who come to Dragotin especially on the Feast of the Assumption.

From year to year this Marian shrine attracts more and more pilgrims.

Pilgrimage days in Dragotin are:

August 15– the Assumption

September 8– Our Lady's birthday

September 15– Our Lady of Sorrows

October 7 – Our Lady of the Rosary
